The grass withers and the flowers fad, but our God’s word stands firm and forever. Isaiah 40:8
Don’t you want to know God’s heartbeat. We hear it every time we open up his word to read it. We hear it at church, through friends, books, and music. When we learn His words, they can change our thoughts and actions. They can remind us of his truth.
My great-grandmother (Nother-bea) was in a retirement home when she could no longer take care of herself. She lost her vision the last years of her life. I think I have shared with you that I would visit and find her singing hymns or quoting scripture. She also loved for us to read the bible to her when we visited.
When I am having days where I am weak, overwhelmed, tired etc. I am reminded of 2 Cor. 12:9-10. My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weakness, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then I am content with weakness.
Our children are faced with challenges every day. Don’t we want them to also have His word on their heart. We say We love because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19 We are able to have many teachable moments through the learning of God’s word. It is much easier to show grace to friends that hurt our feelings on the playground when we know Psalm 53:3.
Ella has learned these 8 verses so far. These verses are great for ages 2-3 years.

I put the link for the 8 verses that we started with on the link above. If you are wanting your child to start somewhere with learning scripture, here are a few to start with.
The video is a rough version of ella saying her verses. ![]()
